I was out of action with a shoulder injury this year, and so was unable to enter a garden in the show. However, I recommend a very talented landscaping team to all my clients, and they entered a garden and asked me to do the planting for them.
Their design was formal with clipped hedges and topiary, so I filled the spaces in the beds with a graceful airy planting using whatever was to hand on the nursery. I hope you agree the planting does the garden justice?
The Woodgate Nursery Garden Show takes place annually in May or June. Each year five, 4m x 4m show gardens are built under the protection of a large marquee and the designers compete to win the public vote. Entry to the show is by voluntary donation with all proceeds going to charity.
