A Streamside Border
This, hypothetical, mainly herbaceous planting was designed for a partly shaded, streamside border.
The main requirements of the brief were:
- a naturalistic scheme with contrast in form and texture,
- planting to look particularly good in spring and summer.
Plants were chosen primarily for their foliage, but still provide a lot of flower colour over the year. There is an underplanting of winter and spring flowering plants to give some colour when most of the plants are dormant.
