Mediterranean Courtyard

- Swanton Morley, NR20

This garden is part of a larger area around a new house in Swanton Morley. Apart from a new section of brick-and-flint wall it was a blank canvas. The clients wanted to create a walled garden with Mediterranean-style planting to remind them of holidays in Mallorca. A very gnarled, mature, olive was high on the wish list. Other requirements included a tiled loggia, a pergola and a lily pond. The garden was completed at the end of 2010 and just needs the planting to develop to soften the hard lines of the raised beds and pergola.
